This
amazing and world-known story of a caterpillar that eats and eats and eats
until it turns into a butterfly is very catching! Eric Carle books are full of
bright and lovely images that appeal to the youngest as well as older children
across the whole world.
There
ia a great variety of editions of this world-famous book, I have one that
includes a finger puppet that is a handy helper in reading for groups of
children. Thanks to this puppet, the caterpillar is super vivid, almost
live-like and children just love interacting with it.
Here
are some follow-up craft tips that you can do with your little ones.

Caterpillar Snack
Your
kids might be hungry by now so why not prepare them a simple caterpillar-like
snack? Use grapes for bodies and strawberries for heads. I couldn't get
strawberries in the shop so used cherry tomatoes instead. Kids had lots of fun
doing these!
